A warning was issued at 6:11 this morning (10/3/2016) informing residents of mainland Okinawa of gale force winds expected to come with the arrival of Typhoon Chaba.

The following are some important pieces of information for all areas of Urasoe City regarding safety precautions for the high wind speeds and large waves expected from this typhoon.



* If you are living in a sturdy or otherwise reinforced building, please stay inside and avoid going outside for any unnecessary reasons.



* Please continue to look out for updates on the storm on the television, radio or internet.



* If you are in need of refuge, the Urasoe City Hall may be used as a shelter at any time during the day of October 3rd, 2016.
