All dog owners are responsible for registration
If you own a dog, it must be registered at City Hall. Please visit the Environmental Conservation Section to complete the registration. Upon registration, you will receive a registration tag which your dog must wear at all times. Your dog's birthdate will be used during the registration process.

Registration fee: ¥3,000 Replacement tags: ¥1,600 This tag is to certify that your dog has been registered. Registration is vaild throughout the dog's lifetime. |
Please contact the Environmental Conservation Section for the following changes:
- Change in owner
- Change in owner's name
- Change of residence (Within Urasoe City.)
- Notification of dog's death
- Notification of missing dog
April, May, and June are vaccination months
All dogs must be vaccinated against rabies once a year. Every year between April and June, the city provides rabies vaccinations in local community centers. Please contact the Environmental Conservation Section for exact dates. If you acquire a new pet after or before the public vaccination period, please visit a veterinarian to get the vaccination. There is a small fee for the vaccination.
