There are 32 certified daycare centers for children ages 5 months to 5 years old and 19 regional daycare centers for children ages 5 months to 2 years old. Although there are both public and corporate daycare centers, every center has the same mission, fees, and hours. Generally, center hours are from 7:00am to 6:00pm, and their fees depend on the families’ income.
Registration for daycare centers tend to open in the fall. Details about registration can be found in the October edition of the Urasoe monthly newsletter. While applications are accepted outside of the fall, please note that acceptance rates are low and your child will be placed on a waiting list. For families interested in registering their child into a daycare center, please consult the Infant Welfare Section at City Hall.
